What is the Db LUT Collection?
The Db LUT Collection has been developed with our in-house cinematographers and photographers to offer a one-click-way to get that unique Db look across different color profiles and camera brands. With the current pace of content delivery, we found the need to offer a fast tracked path to a consistent, pleasing look to your footage.
These LUTs have been developed as creative LUTs, and are therefore your perfect companion to take your footage from a rec709 image to the final grade. Start off with your base grade or rec709 LUT, add the Db LUT after, and boom; say hello to a nicely graded vibe, specialy designed for:

The LUTs
We've designed these LUTs to both stand out amongst the crowd, as well as be allrounder enough to fit different kind of projects and locations.
Warm daylight
Designed for everything outdoors, this look is quite on the warmer side, and is great for everytime you want to let that orange and yellow flow over your image.
Neutral daylight
A classic, neutral daylight LUT that gives you juts the right amount of contrast and color adjustments to set your image apart, yet stay within a somewhat realistic depiction of reality.
Blue hour
For those darker hours of the day, where most of the light comes from a blueish nightsky or an external light source like streetlights.
Indoor
Last, but not least: everything indoor. With toned down yellows and blues, you end up with less spill light and a cleaner image. This LUT might need a little bit of tweaking in temperature and exposure if your original image was a bit off.
Here at the Db HQ, we’ve had the pleasure of working with a handful of cinematographers and friends, each with their own style and finesse. So when we decided to develop our own creative LUTs, we gathered all of our knowledge and our in-house colorist to tweak the grade to that fine, Db feel. It’s natural, not too saturated, blues are nipped and there’s some yellow and orange stuff going on. It’s just about where we want it.
We reached out to the community to hear what all of you shoot on, and tried our best to cater to all. In the Db Creative LUT Collection you’ll therefore find LUTs tailored to the color profiles of Sony, Canon, RED and Blackmagic. Pick your preferred one and be confident in the result. We’ve spent hours trying to match them all.
As with everything creative, perfection is rare to come by. These LUTs will get you to a desired image, but sometimes, when the sun is just that bit too high, or the scene has some spill light from the rear, you might need to go in and tweak contrast or colors to fit your project. Look at these as your creative base. It’s a Db graded sheet for you to draw your masterpiece on.
